Every year, the Ministry of Education ranks all SEA candidates by their exam score and places them into secondary schools starting from their first choice down, until every school's seats are filled. A school's cutoff score is the lowest score that still got a child a seat there that year, separately for boys and girls, since boys' and girls' schools (and mixed schools' single-sex intake) fill independently.
Cutoffs move every year based on how many children apply and how they rank each school, so a score from last year is a strong guide, not a guarantee. The scores above are the real district-by-district results as published, covering all eight SEA districts across Trinidad and Tobago.
Don't see a school's name here, or see one boy's or girl's score missing? Two different things explain that, and it's worth knowing which one applies. Some schools are single-sex, so only one gender ever had a cutoff to begin with, not a gap in our data. For a smaller number of schools, students are placed by geographic zone or general availability rather than by competing for a limited number of seats, so no cutoff score exists for that school at all, in any year. We checked this against a detailed 2019 school-by-school cutoff score record covering nearly every secondary school in Trinidad and Tobago: the schools missing from our 91 above were already blank there too, which is why we believe most of them simply don't publish a competitive cutoff, rather than that a number exists somewhere we haven't found yet.
